Every ambitious music is sensitive to surrounding reality and tries to comment it. Still.... what, if reality becomes so absurd, that this is impossible to take it in any logical manner?
Robert Kanaan's "Le Monde est Grotesque" is the commentary to the reality, that runns away from logic and common sense.
The well known music illustrations creator's promenade of thrilling themes guides us through the dark corners of our self. We will find here a black humour, funny and tragicomical motives, we will be balancing over the precipice, but not for a single moment we will loose our elegance...
The inspiration for the album was the film "Cabaret" of Bob Fosse, and the tragic events in Paris.

Każda ambitna muzyka jest wrażliwa
na otaczającą rzeczywistość i stara się ją komentować.
Co jednak, gdy rzeczywistość staje się tak absurdalna,
że nie sposób nadać jej logicznych norm?
Le Monde est Grotesque (Świat jest Groteską) Roberta Kanaana
to właśnie komentarz do takiej rzeczywistości, która wymyka się logice
i sensownemu wyjaśnieniu.
Promenada porywających tematów znanego twórcy muzycznych
ilustracji prowadzi nas przez mroczne zakamarki
naszej jaźni. Znajdziemy tu czarny humor, przeszywająco śmieszne
i tragikomiczne motywy, będziemy balansować nad przepaścią...
lecz ani na chwilę nie stracimy elegancji.

Natchnieniem dla płyty stał się film Boba Fosse'a "KABARET"
oraz niedawne tragiczne wydarzenia w Paryżu.
